About Anxiety continued...
Sufferers are often unable to describe their feelings and experience to their family, friends and colleagues in a way that they can fully understand and many people have little understanding or even sympathy for it, often believing that you should 'pull yourself together' or 'concentrate on positive things' etc. What many people  do not realise is that anxiety is something that everyone will experience at some stage in their life and it is not something that can be changed overnight by simply being more positive.

Beyond The Secret
If you have never suffered from anxiety then imagine if you can that your whole being becomes paralyzed into a state of immobility. You cannot think straight, you cannot get to grips with how you feel and you are totally unable to decide which foot to put in front of the other let alone how to get out of this catatonic state of mental and emotional terror. Now that description does not even come close to how the experience of anxiety actually feels and it can happen to anybody - yes, even you!

What is interesting is that people who feel that they are in control of their life are just as likely, if not more so under certain circumstances,  to experience anxiety at some stage as anyone else.

Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects to anxiety is that there appears to be a common thread between the people who suffer from it and their personal experiences and  backgrounds. See Common Thread
