Ultimately, poor customer service is a reflection on management because management is the factor of production responsible for organizing all other resources. All roads lead to Rome on the customer service map, and poor management or business leadership usually gets the personnel that it deserves.

So next time that you experience poor service try not to blame the person serving you, no matter how useless or seemingly lacking in initiative they may appear to be. They are doing the best that they can with what they know, who they are AND the tools and often inflexibility that they have been given by their bosses. The odds are that they are just as frustrated  as you are in not being able to satisfy your needs and rectify the problem.
