A great deal has been written over the years about goals and how to achieve them, and the S.M.A.R.T principle is perhaps the most well known. S.M.A.R.T stands for:
S = Specific
M = Measurable
A = Attainable
R = Realistic
T = Tangible
The challenge with S.M.A.R.T goals is that they are purely logical, unemotional, clinical and predominantly right brained. Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) provides us with a more ecological process that increases our chances of success because it caters for both sides of the brain and the different ways that people think.
