It's okay to feel whatever you feel. Don't fight your feelings. Embrace all feelings as an important part of your mind and body telling you something about balance. The more we fight our feelings the more power we give to them and the more we remind our brain of what it is that we don't want to feel or experience. Embrace all feelings as your friend ... and one that is guiding you towards positive change. It is an old saying but it is as true today as it ever was: Worry is like a rocking horse. It gets you nowhere.
Try not to get caught up in thinking about what might be, could be, may be, possibly, maybe will be etc. The outcome of anything is not true until it happens and so often the actions that we take today about what happened yesterday can change tomorrow anyway.
Try not to allow the media to worry you or increase your anxiety. By the very definition of the word, 'news' is something that happens rarely - that is why it is news! Actually, anything that you see on television, hear on the radio or read in the press is unlikely to ever happen to you. Now that is good news!
