To quote Wikipedia: "In simpler terms, social conditioning is something that homogenizes a large amount of people into a certain distinctive mold; for example, people who style/dress in nearly identical ways can be seen as products of social conditioning. Another example is this seemingly intangible expectation/pressure for people to look certain ways, buy certain things, behave certain ways in order to appeal to other people. If people believe they need to do those things in order to be adequate, it may also be considered as a certain level of social conditioning."
Social conditioning, or what could be called the process of conditioning us to 'fit in' and become 'accepted' accounts for a great deal of our early childhood growth and development. We learn to 'fit in' by developing beliefs, values, attitudes and behaviors that 'fit' or are 'acceptable' to the 'significant' people in our lives. By default children believe what the 'significant' adults in their life tell them and so it does not take a rocket scientist to see that they become mental and emotional clones of other clones. Indeed, when you look the increasing dysfunctional of society as a whole it would not be unreasonable to suggest that children become victims of other victims who were previously socially conditioned towards homogenization which is the process of mixing substance to become the same.
Whilst this is a natural phenomena within the human species it does tend to dictate that unless a person consciously or otherwise step out of he mold then they will tend to achieve, have, become, believe and live a similar life to everyone else. NOT GOOD IF YOU WANT TO HAVE, ACHIEVE, BECOME AND EXPERIENCE MORE FROM LIFE because you will probably not have been given the mental or emotional tools to do so?
